IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2024

Age Limit: You must be between 20 and 30 years old. There are age relaxations for certain categories (like SC/ST, OBC, etc.).

Education: You need to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. You can be in your final year, but you must have your degree before the interview. Also computer knowledge is necessary.

Nationality: You should be an Indian citizen, or a citizen of Nepal/Bhutan, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from other countries.

Language: You should know the local language of the state where you are applying.

Every year, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) recruits Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trainees (MT) through a Common Recruitment Process (CRP), known as the IBPS PO exam. This year marks the 14th time this exam is being held, officially called IBPS PO/MT CRP XIV 2024.

IBPS PO/MT Recruitment Process 2024

1.Online Preliminary Examination

          • A number of candidates from each category are selected by IBPS based on the needs for the next round, the Online Mains Examination.

          2. Online Mains Examination

            • Candidates must pass both the sectional and overall cutoffs in the mains exam to qualify for the interview.

            3. Interview

              • The interview is conducted by the participating banks, coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each state or union territory, with help from IBPS.

              4. Final Result

                • The final result is announced based on the combined scores from the IBPS PO Mains and the interview.

                5. Provisional Allotment

                  • The provisional allotment of successful candidates is published on the official website. Candidates are assigned to banks based on their preferences made during the online application.

                  Post-Selection Process
                  After the provisional allotment, IBPS is no longer involved. The responsibility for informing candidates about joining dates and procedures falls to the individual banks.
